This summer weight brown, naturally tanned sheepskin has a unique, organic shape. It has short, crimpy fiber that's uniform in color, see video for most realistic color. This sheepskin is a deep chocolate brown at center. This sheepskin measures 2'4"W by 3'7"L // 27"W x 43"L.

About the Process
Sheepskins are harvested from our animals at the same time as their meat. Transforming the pelts into sheepskins is a great way to keep them out of the waste stream and fulfills our “nose-to-tail” ethos by honoring the animal through use of all its parts. Our hides are salted, scraped, and prepared for tanning at the farm and then mailed to Vermont for tanning, trimming and washing. 

Vermont Natural Sheepskins uses an all-natural, bark tanning method that is 100% non-toxic and eco-friendly. Processed by hand, these durable, one of a kind sheepskins are meant to last a lifetime.

Each sheepskin is unique to the breed, age of sheep, and the tanning process.
